Are you a chronic worrier? Do you feel like you just can’t stop worrying?

Maybe your parents told you, you were a worrier, it’s just the way you are.

Everyone in your family worries; you’ve always been known as the worrying type, etc.

Well, it doesn’t have to be that way anymore.

You can change that right away, right now, today.

You can delete that habit, get it out of your system, stop letting it ruin your life.

Create a new story. Create a new truth for yourself.

Worrying sucks the energy out of your inner power. It drains you of life force.

It spoils the present moment and quite possibly some of your future moments too.

All of us sometimes feel worries arise depending on the situation. It’s natural to feel apprehensive about change and uncertainty.

Certainly, the last 18 months have shown us that fear and anxiety can become rife once our energy is focused negatively.

No matter what is going on in your world and the broader world around you, worrying is not the answer.

It is never the answer.

Believe me. I am a recovered worrier!

And I am here to tell you that you can stop worrying too.

Like I said, occasional worry about things in the future is normal.

As humans, our brains have been wired to be aware of potential dangers since our caveman days.

Being alert back then was a life-saver.

But nowadays, we don’t have to worry too much about wildlife attacking us (depending on where you live, I’m just going to assume!).

Instead, we invent things to worry about. That’s the issue here.

Our brains just make stuff up to worry about that has absolutely nothing to do with the truth of a situation.

Instead, it’s more like our ego-mind for some reason has latched onto the idea that worrying about something is going to stop it from happening, or make it go away.

You have to realize that worrying about the future does nothing at all to prevent what you are worrying about from happening or not happening.

Quite frankly, all worrying does is create more worry.

The energy that you squander when you are worrying is precious energy that you could be used to manifest your dreams instead.

The energetic frequency of worrying attracts lack, not abundance.

Instead of spending your energy worrying, you want to retain that energy and direct it towards things that actually do change your future by enhancing your life.

“Worry pretends to be necessary, but serves no useful purpose.”— Eckhart Tolle

So what do you do? Well, whatever you do, don’t start worrying about how much you are worrying!

I’ve got some tips for you below:

You are going to replace your uneasy feelings with feelings of empowerment, peace, and happiness instead.

Make a list of the things you are worried most about right now.

Your list might look like, this for example:

  • I am worried about my finances.
  • I am worried about my physical health.
  • I am worried about my relationship.
  • I am worried I don’t know what my purpose is in life.
  • I am worried I am not being loved.
  • Now you are going to replace those worry statements with affirmative statements of the opposite.

BUT — don’t write something that does not resonate with your core.

You have to replace the worries with some that you connect to — a feeling in your body, a knowing somewhere deep within you, beneath all those layers of anxiety.

To get to the right kind of replacement feeling, put your hand on your heart and close your eyes as you feel the truth of what you say.

So, for example, transform your worries with the following replacements:

I am worried about my finances — I know there is an abundance available to me.

I am worried about my physical health — I have a strong, healthy physical body.

I am worried about my relationship — I radiate love towards myself and others.

I am worried I don’t know my purpose in life — I am exactly where I need to be right now.

I am worried I am not being loved — I am deeply loved and cherished.

Practice writing these down and reading them alone every morning and night as part of your wake-up or wind-down routine.

Another beautiful practice to start changing your thought processes is to express gratitude.

You do not have to write down every single thing each day.

Simply think back over the day before you go to bed, and write down a few things that you really, truly appreciated.

It can be a delicious meal, a beautiful bird that you saw, or the little baby who beamed at you in the supermarket.

All these tiny components that seem to just be random, maybe even mundane details of your life are actually incredible, tiny miracles of the Universe that you get to experience every single day.

And the best thing is that the more you open yourself to seeing them and noting them down, stopping to really appreciate them – the more magical moments flow into your life.

AND guess what? All that worrying energy dissipates too.
