Back in 2015, I couldn’t wait to get promoted at work. I knew it was coming; I just didn’t know when.

I was being praised by my superiors and colleagues for a job well done. I was able to finish a huge project successfully.

And my boss mentioned to me that I’m up for a promotion.

The first few days, I was elated. I was in a good mood at work because there’s the excitement of a promotion.

It was during the first few days that I do visualization work.

I kept imagining what it would be like to be a manager in my department finally.

When I imagined it, I felt a surge of happiness. I felt so many positive emotions that it becomes so addictive, even for a minute, I actually experienced these feelings, and my dream seemed so attainable.

Actually, it felt like it already happened.

Surprisingly, though, I wasn’t promoted.

In retrospect, my boss only did that to motivate me, but the truth is, they never considered me as a department manager.

And that made me wonder, was it because of the visualization?

Did it jinx it?

I don’t think it did, but perhaps, I did it wrong.

See, visualization keeps us in a highly emotionally charged mood that creates a mental attitude that expects success.

These highly charged emotions affect our mental state that energizes, motivates, and awakens our ability to attract the things that we want in our lives.

The thing is, the levels of thrill and expectation are high, which often happens ONLY at the beginning when the possibility of success is high.

The truth: We can’t always stay in that heightened mood.

So many things happen in our daily lives: minor to major inconveniences or problems that pull us back into our previous way of thinking; in turn, we lose that special mood.

When these things pull us back, there’s a sudden crash that could lead us into the rabbit hole where many negative emotions reside.

This is because visualization takes us to an extremely high, and if you’re not careful, you could fall down with a resounding thud.

That’s why I don’t rely so much on visualization when I want to manifest things. It’s not the main ingredient to it, anyway.

So… How Is it Supposed to be Done, Anyway?

You can visualize every day and get no results if you don’t believe that it’s going to work.

A lot of things go into visualization—desire, ambition, eagerness, and excitement.

If these things don’t exist, then there will be only a little chance of succeeding through visualizing alone.

Visualizing for a few moments without these emotions isn’t effective.

To succeed, you need to perpetuate the desire, thrill, and excitement and make sure that they don’t disappear.

Think of it this way: You have no choice but to cultivate these emotions.

And that’s how you can make visualization work for you.

Still, it’s not the end-all-be-all in the process of manifestation.

There are other ways for you to reach your desires. If you think visualization is something you can do, then go ahead and do it.

It’s not that easy and it’s not the only thing you need to manifest your desires.

BUT, if you know how to do it well, rest assured, it can have a significant impact on your manifestation process.
