We have seven main chakras in our energy system. There are many more chakras but these primary seven are the ones most talked about and referred to. They are spinning wheels of light or energy centers that begin at the root chakra (base of the spine) and move up different points along your body to the crown chakra at the top of your head.

When your chakras are imbalanced, blocked or over-charged you will notice the corresponding issues reflected in your life such as ill-health or mental and emotional problems. Each chakra governs a certain part of your body and area of your life. When the chakra is out of balance, that part of your body and area of your life may also become imbalanced.

For example the Heart Chakra rules over your lungs, heart and circulatory system. It is also connected to your emotions, ability to love and be loved and your relationships. Having a blocked or imbalanced heart chakra may mean your relationships are challenging and you find it difficult to receive love.Physically you may start to have breathing trouble or even heart issues. So you see that keeping your chakra system healthy is of utmost importance to your life.

Remember how everything in the universe is made up of energy? That includes the food we eat. You can find balance and restoration of your energetic system by adjusting your diet to reflect healthier choices that assist the clearing and cleansing of your chakras.

When we have positive flowing energy from head to toe we are in alignment with life and we can move through each day with energy and ease.

Food as Life Force Energy:

If you eat a diet that is higher in positive vibrational energy, your chakras will be larger and clearer. Specific foods can actually raise the vibration of your chakras and recharge them.

Foods that are alive, such as fresh vegetables and fruits, sprouted whole grains and fresh juices (squeezed within the last 30 minutes) are brimming with positive vibrations and life force energy.

Foods that are conversely dead, dried, overcooked or frozen have less life force energy. Eating a diet heavy in these dead foods can make your chakras shrink and darken.

Foods and Substances that can Negatively Impact the Chakras:

  • Alcohol
  • Caffeine
  • Chocolate
  • Cigarettes
  • Drugs
  • Processed sugar or flour
  • Foods grown with pesticides
  • A diet that is high in nutrient dense products and includes as many colors of the rainbow as possible is the best way to heal your chakra system. You can use energy medicine to address issues that could crop up in your chakra field before they actually manifest into problems in your body!

I suggest working with a spiritual teacher or energy healer to determine which of your chakras are in need of balancing ( you can have a Reiki session or talk to a natural healer). That way you can target which of your chakras is most in need of a change in diet.

If that’s not available to you, trust that giving your diet in general an overhaul and sticking to fresh, organic (where possible) produce will target your entire system in a positive way. Whether you wish to increase your energy levels, shed some weight or simple look and feel your absolute best, balancing your chakras is an essential step towards a positive, abundant life.

Our diet affects us emotionally, mentally and physically. For optimal balance we need to eat a diet of high vibrational foods that bring balance and energy to our cells and entire system.

You will feel the difference when your chakras are open and working in alignment, you will feel the fresh energy they draw in from the energy field of the universe, replenishing and regenerating your personal energy field and maintaining you in excellent health.
