I’m sure you’ve already heard the term chakra…
We have talked about it before.
During those times, did you ever realize that by unblocking them, you release your powerful chakra energy?
But first…
What is Chakra?
Chakra (chakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body.
There are seven main chakras, which are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned.
These chakras correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being.
When one or more of our chakras are out of balance, it can lead to physical, mental, or emotional health problems.
Thankfully, there are a number of ways to realign our chakras and promote overall wellness.
For example, we can practice meditation or yoga, use crystals or essential oils, or simply focus on eating a balanced diet.
By taking care of our chakras, we can enjoy improved health and happiness.
The Seven Chakras and How to Unlock Their Energies
Root Chakra
The root chakra is the first of the seven chakras and is located at the base of the spine.
This chakra represents your foundation and feeling of being grounded.
It is associated with the element of earth and is connected to our survival instinct.
When this chakra is balanced, we feel safe and secure.
We are able to stand up for ourselves and set boundaries as needed.
The tree pose or any balancing poses, like mountain or warrior, are great for establishing a stronger relationship with your body’s foundation.
These poses help to build strength and stability in the legs and feet, providing a sense of grounding and support.
With regular practice, you can begin to feel more anchored in your body and better able to handle whatever life throws your way.
Sacral Chakra
The sacral chakra is located just below the navel and is associated with our reproductive area.
This chakra is responsible for our creativity and sensuality, and it is linked with the element of water.
Any form of deep hydration will do it some good, so be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
You can also add a few orange slices to your water to reflect the orange color of the sacral chakra’s energy.
If you’re looking for a more creative way to get in touch with your sacral chakra, try taking a painting or dance class.
Or, if you’re feeling blocked creatively, consider doing some type of release work, such as writing or journaling.
By connecting with your sacral chakra, you can bring more creativity and sensuality into your life!
Solar Plexus Chakra
One of the most important chakras is the solar plexus chakra.
This chakra is all about your inner fire and resides around your core.
When this chakra is balanced, you feel confident and in control of your life.
However, when it is out of balance, you may feel insecure and lost.
To connect with your personal power and release the solar plexus chakra, start by repeating affirmations, either out loud or in your head.
By writing them down, we help reverse negative thought patterns and replace them with constructive ones.
For example, if you are struggling with self-doubt, repeat the affirmation “I am worthy” several times a day.
As you continue to practice this affirmation, you will begin to feel more confident in yourself and your ability to achieve your goals.
Solar plexus chakra affirmations can help you tap into your personal power and create the life you want.
Heart Chakra
The heart chakra is located in the center of the chest and is associated with the color green.
This chakra represents our ability to love and be loved.
When it is balanced, we feel open and receptive to others, and we are able to give and receive love unconditionally.
To keep this chakra in balance, it is important to focus on feelings of gratitude.
A gratitude journal is a great way to do this.
Every day, take a few moments to write down three things that you are grateful for.
This can be anything from the warmth of the sun on your face to a kind word from a friend.
Focusing on what we are grateful for helps us to open our hearts and connect with others on a deeper level.
Throat Chakra
Our throat chakra is responsible for communication, both with others and within ourselves.
When this chakra is in balance, we are able to speak our truth clearly and confidently.
We may also find that we are more attuned to the subtler communication that takes place non-verbally, through our energy field.
However, when the throat chakra is out of balance, we may experience difficulties in speaking up for ourselves, or we may find that we are drawn to negative gossip and hurtful words.
If you are looking to rebalance your throat chakra, one of the best things you can do is focus on your breathing.
Pay attention to the way your breath feels as it enters and leaves your body, and let go of any thoughts or sensations that arise without judgment.
By connecting with our breath in this way, we can begin to quiet the mind and connect with our inner truth.
Third Eye Chakra
The third eye chakra is located in the center of your forehead and is associated with the color purple.
It is said to be the chakra that governs your ability to see clearly, both physically and intuitively.
When this chakra is in balance, you are able to think creatively and see possibilities where others see roadblocks.
You are open to new ideas and ways of doing things, and you have the courage to take risks.
Meditation is a great way to keep your third eye chakra in balance.
It helps to create better communication between the left and right hemispheres of the brain, which can promote creativity and intuition.
If you’re looking for a way to add some more zen into your life, try incorporating some third eye chakra meditation into your daily routine.
Crown Chakra
The crown chakra is located at the top of the head and is associated with our connection to the divine.
When this chakra is balanced, we feel spiritually connected and in tune with our intuition.
If the crown chakra is out of balance, we may feel disconnected from our higher purpose or question our beliefs.
To keep this chakra in balance, it’s important to nurture our connection to the spiritual realm.
This can be done by reading books or listening to podcasts that help us expand our minds and connect with our intuition.
By opening up the crown chakra, we allow ourselves to receive guidance and wisdom from the Universe.
