As we move further into 2022, we are being bombarded with an increasing amount of high-frequency cosmic energy.
This is causing major shifts in consciousness and leaving many of us feeling disoriented and uncertain.
In order to make sense of these changes, it is important to stay informed about the remaining cosmic energies, alignments, and events that will be taking place this year.
Be prepared for 2 more eclipses and 2 planetary retrogrades this year.
Each of these cosmic events represents an opportunity for us to evolve and grow spiritually.
By staying aware of these energies, we can better prepare ourselves for the transformations that are taking place within and all around us.
Eclipses
Eclipses are actually relatively common, occurring four to six times a year.
But despite their frequency, they are still considered to be powerful astrological events, often bringing things to a climax and representing big change and transformation.
During an eclipse, we may be called on to confront our shadow side – the parts of ourselves that we have been trying to ignore or keep hidden.
This can be a scary process, but ultimately it can lead to greater self-awareness and acceptance.
Eclipse periods can also reveal truths and secrets, sometimes forcing us to acknowledge something that we have been trying to avoid.
In this way, eclipses can be powerful catalysts for change, helping us to become our best selves.
There are two types of eclipses: Solar and Lunar.
- Solar Eclipses – typically represent action (and male energies).
- Lunar Eclipses – typically represent the integration of experience (and feminine energies).
A Solar Eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Sun and Earth, creating a shadow on the Sun.
A Lunar Eclipse happens when the Earth passes directly between the Full Moon and the Sun throwing a shadow on Earth.
In the remaining months of 2022, there are still 2 more eclipses that will come our way.
October 25 – Solar Eclipse in Scorpio
This New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio is likely to be a very intense and emotional time.
We may find ourselves delving deep into our own psyches, as well as the psyches of those around us, in an attempt to understand what is driving us and them.
This can be a very cathartic and healing process, but it can also be quite difficult and challenging.
Trust, vulnerability, and intimacy are likely to be major issues during this time.
It is important to remember that we are all on our own individual journeys through life, and that we each have our own unique experiences and perspectives.
Compassion and understanding are essential during this time.
If we can open our hearts and minds, we may just find that we have more in common with each other than we ever realized.
November 8 – Total Lunar Eclipse in Taurus
Lunar eclipses are often seen as a time of endings and release, as they are a culmination of the lunar cycle.
Just as the moon is temporarily obscured by the earth’s shadow, so too can our emotions be clouded by negativity and unresolved issues.
During a lunar eclipse, it can be helpful to let go of any emotions or attachments that are no longer serving us.
This can be a difficult process, but it can also be incredibly liberating.
By releasing what no longer serves us, we make space for new beginnings.
In this way, lunar eclipses encourage us to embrace change and move forward in our lives with renewed clarity and purpose.
Retrogrades
What does a planet in retrograde actually mean?
When a planet passes the Earth as it orbits the Sun, we say it is retrograde.
That’s because from our perspective down on Earth, it is as though the planet is moving backward, even though this is, of course, an illusion.
When this happens, we say that the planet is going retrograde and for however long that lasts (a few weeks or months), we expect a little upheaval in the themes and patterns ruled by that planet.
Typically speaking a planet in retrograde motion isn’t a wonderful time to start new projects or set intentions, but it can provide a supportive atmosphere for completing things or having a second go at something important to you.
- Mars Retrograde – October 30, 2022 to January 12, 2023
- Fourth Mercury Retrograde – December 28, 2022 to January 18, 2023
Will you be marking your calendars for these cosmic event?
