As we move into October,
there’s a feeling of the end of the year looming on the horizon.
We’re down to the last three months of 2024
and that’s often a time for introspection, reflection, and planning.
Do you feel a natural change within yourself as the seasonal shift occurs outside?
Tell me what you experience, I love to hear about people’s perspectives.
I want to help you have a calm and serene October
with time to slow down and embrace the moments of change.
Seasonal changes are a time to redefine your routines and rhythms.
They act as an invitation for pause, deep reflection and meditation.
When you think about it, it makes sense doesn’t it?
Natural cycles should be honored, and your innate cyclical rhythms are no different.
As the days draw darker and colder in the Northern Hemisphere,
it’s time to go within and review and listen to your intuition.
These last few months are about slowing down, prioritizing comfort and coziness,
softening and turning inward to conserve your energy.
We have a Full Moon coming up on October 17th (more on that in a future blog),
and right before that happens the planetary activity is going to be pretty intense,
making you feel busy or scattered.
The following two rituals can ground you and help prepare you emotionally
to be in the perfect place for that Full Moon.
Grounding Autumn Walk Ritual
This ritual is all about connecting you to nature
and helping you appreciate the softness and subtly of transitions.
Grounding is so important and this ritual will help you to slow down
and feel more present in your body.
If you have essential oils or crystals on hand, please use them for this ritual.
Suggested essential oils – Anything earthy – rosemary, lavender, cedarwood,
ylang-ylang or sandalwood are perfect.
Crystals – red jasper, black tourmaline, smoky quartz, tiger’s eye.
Ritual Guide:
Take your chosen oils and rub a small amount onto your pulse points,
or sprinkle onto a tissue and take with you in your pocket.
Hold your chosen crystals or place them in your pocket for grounding and protection.
Take a walk somewhere with natural beauty if possible, the forest, local park, by a lake or river
and as you walk imagine any stress and anxiety dissolving down through your feet into the earth.
The idea is to feel fully supported and protected by the earth.
The pils and the crystals will help to bring you into the present moment
and a feeling of deep connection to the beauty of nature.
Evening Wind Down Ritual
This evening ritual helps you to prepare for restful sleep
by inducing deep relaxation and a calm mind.
It’s wonderful for nourishing you on all levels and will help you to create an atmosphere of serenity
and peace internally and externally.
Simply create a calm vibe in your bedroom or living room with low lighting,
candles and soft music if you wish.
Choose essential oils such as chamomile, lavender, and vetiver.
Choose crystals such as rose quartz, blue lace agate, white howlite.
Simply apply your chosen essential oils to your pulse points and chest.
Hold your crystals in your hand while you take a few moments to breathe deeply and reflect on your day.
Think about key moments that felt miraculous or serendipitous to you.
Write down anything you feel grateful for and journal your thoughts about the day.
A wonderful way to relax before bed is the yoga pose, legs up the wall.
Lie comfortably somewhere where you can easily lay your legs up against a wall or bed,
and take some calming breaths as you relax.
When you get into bed, place your crystals close by or even under your pillow.
This allows for its soothing energy to help you unwind and let go of troublesome thoughts and concerns.
Try repeating this affirmation for Libra Season
I am aligned with my highest self, and I achieve all my goals with balance and ease.
I hope that you find the time and space to appreciate yourself
and look after your mind, body and soul so that you are grounded, centered,
and prepared for the last few months of the year.
Thank you for this, I enjoyed the perspective of the seasons changing & moving with them.
I live in the Pacific Northwest & I love the softness of light plus I look forward to the gray, rainy days of winter. A chance to hibernate, read & enjoy the long nights.i I am glad to be a part of your community.
