The final Mercury retrograde of the year is almost here!

I know, I know, some of you may feel nervous about what’s coming because retrogrades, specifically when it’s Mercury, do have a nasty reputation.

Here’s a thing—if you still feel okay at this point, you’re doing good. As you are aware, retrogrades happen in phases, and it entered its first shadow phase, which does have an effect on all of us already on September 23 and it will last until October 13.

You’d probably feel a bit dramatic this time, and with so many things that are happening all over the world, it can be a bit too much. Brace yourself because the planet is preparing to begin its backward journey.

October 13 will be the retrograde phase that will last until November 3. This is when you can experience a lot of communication breakdowns and travel delays (fortunately for most of us, this isn’t a problem).

Also, the dreadful curse of this period is back—which is exes returning! This is not a guarantee, but there’s a bigger possibility that you may receive a text from an ex, or YOU might be the one to do it. If not, you just have the urge to look back on the memories you once had with them.

Hopefully, that’s all you do, because reconciliation that happens during this time is bound for disaster, especially after the retrograde phase is over. You’ve been warned.

This month, Mercury is stationing retrograde in Scorpio.

We all know that Scorpios is all bout loyalty and secrets, therefore, try not to talk behind people behind their backs. or else, you might just get in trouble.

Water signs tend to emotional and obsessive, which could explain some bouts of emotional outbursts during this period. This particular sign is also the one who is most keen on looking back on the past instead of thinking about the future.

Don’t worry, by October 27, the planet will move back further into Libra—and it’s all about peace, compromise, and building bridges. With that, this can be a great time to make amends with people in the past—forgive and forget, perhaps? For those who are in a stable relationship, use this period to resolve any issues between you.

It’s Not So Bad!

There’s always a fair amount of hype that surrounds Mercury retrograde. Sure, communication and travel disruptions, as well as misunderstandings tend to happen more at this time, but trust me, it’s not THAT bad.

Consider this period as a time of truth, even when communication seems awry. Use this period to address the misunderstandings and correct the course of events, instead of sweeping them under the rug.

It’s the perfect time to do this, consider that October is when you should reap what you sow and start new beginnings. Whatever this Mercury retrograde brings you, always look at the bright side by seeing the truth that it’s revealing to you. This truth is a blessing.

Mercury retrograde is a gift from the universe that gives you the chance to reflect, take stock, and correct mistakes you have previously made in the rush of everyday life.
