On April 19/20th we have a magnificent Aries New Moon Solar Eclipse.

This is a potent and intensely transformational time and a great moment to work on manifesting your best life by understanding what your true purpose is.

This eclipse can bring you abundant opportunities, open doors to new ways of living, and shift your life experience into a much higher frequency and more aligned direction.

It can also bring challenges and uncover things for you to notice in your life that you no longer wish to carry with you into the future.

The following is an exercise for you to take advantage of all this powerful energy and manifest the things you dream of by uncovering your true purpose and removing the blocks that stand in your way once and for all.

Directions:

Grab a notebook and something to write with.

Light a scented candle, burn some essential oil, and have your favorite crystals nearby

You can also do this exercise sitting outside in sunlight if that’s possible for you, or anywhere you feel joyful, content, and private.

You are going to create three columns on a piece of paper.

The first column is titled “Negative Self-Image.”

The second column is titled “Pretend Self-image”

The third column is titled “The Real Me.”

You are going to consider these three columns and write a list on each one accordingly.

In the first column, you should think of all the ways in which your negative self-image manifests in your life.

What are you afraid someone else might say about you?

What traits do you dislike in other people (this is often an indicator of your own negative traits).

What are your long-held negative beliefs and fears about yourself?

In the second column, write down all the ways in which you would like to be seen.

What do you want people to say about you? What are you really trying to prove to other people?

And finally, in the third column write down who you authentically are.

You can figure this out easily by asking yourself: if you felt truly safe in the world with no fears at all, what would you be doing and who would you be?

Nobody is going to see this list but you, so be as truthful and dig as deep as possible. This will all benefit you in the long run!

Read your lists and consider how you could be more authentically yourself. What can you do to embody more of the list in the final column? How can you be more your true self in your everyday life?

The reason this is so important is that it is not until you actually embody your authentic self that you can manifest your dream life.

Often, the negative way that you worry other people perceive you is in fact the way that you perceive yourself.

For you to live a life of wonderful financial, health, career, and relationship abundance your self-image MUST align with those things. In other words, you must have self-worth in order to believe you deserve the life you desire.

Defining your self-image and uncovering who you authentically are is so important for that reason.

Once you have uncovered who you really are, you can get to work figuring out your true purpose in life.

Take your notebook again and answer the following questions.

  • What do you like doing so much that you lose track of time?
  • What was your favorite thing to do when you were growing up?
  • What things do you wish you had taken more advantage of in the past?
  • What did you dream of doing when you were a kid?
  • Who do you most envy in life now and why?
  • If money were no issue, what would you do with your life?
  • If you had no fears, what would you do?

Write everything that comes to mind related to these questions, you do not have to just answer one thing.

Don’t hold back, just let the ideas flow and be honest but also allow your imagination to drift into the most exciting and ‘out there’ things you love and enjoy.

This is definitely not the time to be setting rules or boundaries for yourself.

Let go of any invisible shackles! Do not allow the negative words of parents, teachers, friends, and most of all your own negative self-talk to interfere with what you are writing down.

These questions will help you to uncover what your purpose is in life. It does not necessarily mean your current profession or even the things you are passionate about.

Your purpose is always what your soul is quietly and powerfully calling you towards.

Another way to get to the bottom of what that might be is through meditation.

Close your eyes and imagine that within you is a little spark of light. You can picture this in your heart center.

This spark of light is your purpose  – the thing you were born to do.

The most potent thing within you, calling you forward in this life.

What does it look like? Does it have a color, a scent, a feeling? What emotion does it evoke in you?

This upcoming New Moon Solar Eclipse is just the most perfect time to do this kind of soul-searching inner work.

Your life experience can never really change if you don’t actively look within and ask yourself these kinds of questions.

In order to know who you are and how to believe in yourself, you have to dig deep below the surface and be honest about what you find there.

As Dr. Wayne Dyer said, Don’t die with your music still in you

You do not want to waste your life without ever really being who you came here to be!

Use the powerful energy of this Eclipse to find out what your purpose is and unleash that authentic soul calling on the world.

Happy Solar Eclipse!
