On April 5th 2023 our moon will reach its peak in the zodiac sign of Libra.

This moon is known as the Pink Moon and it emanates a beautifully soft and gentle energy that encourages us all to find peace and healing in connection to ourselves and others.

What is this Full Moon all about?

The Libra Full Moon is focused on harmony, balance, connection, and relationships.

As an air sign, Libra is a great communicator and bringer of equilibrium and peace. When the moon shines in this sign of the zodiac it signifies a big spotlight to be shone on any of your personal relationships.

As Full Moons always illuminate the darkness, anything that you have been avoiding looking at will be shoved under your nose, so to speak.

You may notice a focus on your relationships and feel pulled to analyze how you choose to behave in them.

Which relationships are good for your soul? Which relationships are causing you to behave in ways you don’t like?

The Full Moon illuminates these issues not to cause problems but to help us heal and evolve.

If you remain open to cosmic lessons, you can receive healing vibrations for this moon that will help you to navigate any relationship challenges and infuse you with confidence.

Libra is also strongly linked to justice and fairness, it is after all symbolized by the scales. That means that any issues that do arise will be easy for you to clarify and find solutions for.

Chiron is also very active during this Full Moon in April.

For those of you who are not familiar with Chiron, here’s a little background:

Chiron is an asteroid with an erratic and entirely unique orbit. Chiron is symbolized by the wounded healer, named for the centaur in Greek mythology.

Chiron was a wise healer and teacher who went his own way, but ironically was unable to heal himself.

In astrology, Chiron symbolizes humanity’s deepest wound and our efforts to heal it. Chiron being so active under this Full Moon is an indicator to us to watch how our own wounds may affect our relationships.

Oftentimes our emotional baggage, our past trauma, and our experience can work against us, causing us to act out in ways we don’t understand until we engage in deep shadow work.

The first step in healing is to become aware of our wounds and how they hold us back from being truly present and real in all our relationships.

With the Full Moon in Libra your emotional wounds may become more apparent to you giving you an opportunity to see where work still needs to be done to clear the way for you to live your most authentic life, one full of love and happiness.

Wounds can show up as a result of the way we were raised, past relationships we have experienced, any forms of physical or emotional abuse we endured, and as protection mechanisms we put in place for survival.

Being willing to step into the work of healing is a wonderful way to be proactive during this Full Moon. Working on yourself will allow you to forge deeper and more authentic relationships with everyone around you.

Here are some ideas for working on emotional healing and relationships during this Full Moon:

  • Prioritize self-care and self-compassion.
  • Include a healing guided meditation or mantra to your morning ritual.
  • Make a list of things that you are grateful for.
  • Make a list of things that inspire you.
  • Journal for ten minutes a day.
  • Write down a quality you had as a child that you wish you still cultivated today.
  • Contact old friends and acquaintances you haven’t heard from in a while.
  • Plan a fun day with friends doing shared activities that bring you joy and inspiration.
  • Carve out time for a romantic date night with your partner.
  • If you are single, spend some time basking in your own energy and enjoying peaceful solitude at home doing things you love.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • What thoughts and habits do I need to shed during this Full Moon cycle?
  • How can I stay balanced and healthy?
  • What makes me feel loved and happy?
  • Where do you feel most at peace in the world?

Finally, another great aspect of this Full Moon in Libra is that Jupiter, the planet of positive expansion, is very connected to it.

Jupiter helps to shed light on issues that need our attention and magnifies where work and healing are required.

The good thing about Jupiter is that it’s always positive, so we’ll be given an extra feeling of motivation as we go about any more challenging inner work.

There is a lot of beautiful cosmic energy around us under this Libra Full ‘Pink’ Moon, providing a chance for us to seek out authentic connection, deeper relationships, and a more profound understanding of who we are  – our soul truths.

Blessings to you all for the Libra Full Moon!
